2. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
A) Information you provide directly
- Account data (name, e-mail address, billing address, VAT/GST number).
- Store connection data (WooCommerce REST API keys, site URL, store currency, time-zone).
- Customer communications (tickets, chat logs, survey responses).
B) Information we collect automatically
- Server logs (IP address, browser type, referring URL, date/time stamps, error traces).
- Usage analytics (button clicks, feature adoption, pages visited, aggregated store metrics).
- Cookie data (see Section 8).
C) Information we process on your behalf
While generating reports we retrieve the following from your WooCommerce database:
- Orders, line items, discounts, taxes, refunds.
- Product catalogue (names, SKUs, attributes, inventory levels).
- Customer data saved in WooCommerce (name, e-mail, phone, addresses, order history).
Note: We act as a "processor" for this content; you remain its "controller" under GDPR/UK GDPR.

4. DO WE SHARE YOUR DATA?
We never sell personal data. We disclose it only:
- Service providers (hosting, analytics, payment gateways, WhatsApp Business API).
- Professional advisers (accountants, auditors, lawyers) under NDA.
- Corporate events (merger, acquisition, asset sale) where data transfers form part of the transaction.

All processors are vetted and bound by confidentiality and data-processing agreements.

- Account & billing records: 7 years (statutory).
- Server logs: 180 days (security).
- Store-level analytics pulled through the plugin: until you delete the site from your dashboard or 30 days after subscription expiry—whichever comes first.
When data is no longer necessary we erase or anonymise it. Back-ups are purged on a 30-day rolling basis.
7. YOUR RIGHTS
Subject to local law, you may have the right to:
- Access – obtain a copy of personal data we hold.
- Rectification – correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure ("right to be forgotten").
- Restriction – suspend processing under certain conditions.
- Portability – receive data in a structured, machine-readable format.

- Withdraw consent at any time (marketing e-mails, non-essential cookies).

8. COOKIES & SIMILAR TECH
GrowthShower uses first-party and third-party cookies to:

- Passwords & API keys are hashed using adaptive bcrypt.
- Principle of least privilege for all employee accounts.
- Quarterly penetration tests and automated vulnerability scans.
No system is 100% secure; please contact us immediately if you suspect any issue.
10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
GrowthShower is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have done so, please contact us for prompt deletion.

Our website or reports may reference third-party sites or services. We do not control their privacy practices. Review the privacy notices of any external resource you visit.
12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
